There comes a point where pushing harder no longer feels right.
Where your body begins to ask for something quieter…
more thoughtful… more supportive.
This retreat is an invitation to meet that moment.
To slow down.
To listen.
To move in a way that feels nourishing instead of depleting.
Over these 3 days, we’ll gently shift away from doing more…
and toward feeling more.
Each morning, we gather in the Yoga Barn for a longer, unhurried practice—
rooted in somatic movement, yoga therapeutics, and Yoga for Empowered Aging™.
We’ll explore:
• small, intentional movements
• breath as a guide
• strength that supports rather than strains
• awareness that helps your body reorganize itself from within
There is no pressure to keep up. Only an invitation to notice… and respond.
Mornings are for exploration.
Evenings are for unwinding.
Our evening practices will be slower, quieter…
with longer restorative shapes that allow the nervous system to settle and soften.
In between, there is space.
Space to be by the water.
Space to move, or not move.
Space to follow your own rhythm.
The retreat takes place on a quiet bay—simple, peaceful, and deeply restorative.
You might find yourself:
• paddling slowly across still water
• floating and watching the sky
• sitting with a book or a journal
• resting more than you’re used to
Nothing here is rushed.
We’ll share two relaxed brunches and one community dinner.
And on our final evening, we gather around the fire.
S’mores, soft conversation, and what I call “Get Lit Night.”
Each person brings three books they’ve loved…
and we share them under the stars.
It’s simple.
And always meaningful.
*from a past retreat guest: “What started out as a commitment quickly became joy, awareness, friendship, connection, restoration, healing… and FUN. WHO KNEW? You did, Karen.”
This is not a one-size-fits-all practice.
This is therapeutic yoga.
Which means we work with your body—not against it.
You’ll be guided with options, support, and the use of props to help you find what works for you.
We focus on:
• reducing unnecessary tension
• improving mobility in a sustainable way
• building strength that translates into everyday life
• supporting your nervous system so change can actually happen
Often, the smallest movements create the biggest shifts.
*from a past attendee: "When I was shown how to do Warrior II correctly I felt as if my body was working instead of my knees..."
This retreat may be for you if you’re feeling the pull to:
• move with more ease
• feel stronger without pushing harder
• understand your body in a deeper way
• rest without feeling like you have to earn it
• spend time in nature, in a way that feels grounding
You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be experienced.
You simply need a willingness to listen.
*a gentle reflection from a past attendee: "If you enjoy serenity, yoga, and are seeking a place to unwind, learn more about yourself through yoga, then this is the place and retreat for you."
By the end of the weekend, many people begin to feel:
• more space in their body
• less tension in familiar places
• a quieter, more settled nervous system
• a clearer sense of what their body needs
• a deeper connection to themselves
And perhaps most importantly…
A different way of relating to movement.
On our final morning, you’ll be guided through an immersive one-hour sound bath.
A chance to rest completely…
and allow everything from the weekend to integrate.
Many describe this as the moment everything lands.
• Four cozy cottages on a quiet bay
• Shared accommodations with private rooms - 2 bedrooms per cottage
• Two nourishing brunches + one community dinner
• Access to paddle boards, kayak, canoe, and floating rafts
• Rustic, welcoming Yoga Barn for all practices
"This yoga retreat was so eye-opening and freeing... I left feeling relaxed and peaceful."
Spaces are intentionally limited to keep the experience personal and supported. Depending on room arrangements, I have openings for only 6-8 people.
If this is speaking to you, I invite you to trust that.
This weekend isn’t about doing more.
It’s about learning how to care for your body…
in a way that feels sustainable, supportive, and true.

Much love, laughter, and good health,
Karen
